A different kind of support

Still independent. Just ready for a little more connection.

There is a wide space between doing everything alone and needing medical or hands-on care. That is where companionship can make a day feel fuller again.

My Modern Companion brings consistency, encouragement, and a genuine relationship to the everyday moments that are simply better when shared.

For families who want peace of mind

What time together can include

Less about a checklist. More about a good day.

01

Connection and shared interests

Conversation, favorite hobbies, familiar places, music, games, and the kinds of moments that make a person feel known.

02

Movement and time outside

Walks, gentle stretching, putting practice, and enjoyable ways to bring more movement into the week.

03

Curiosity and confidence

Technology coaching, mentally engaging activities, practical projects, and space to try something new together.

What a visit can feel like

A rhythm shaped around the person, not a rigid schedule.

A familiar hello

A genuine check-in and time to decide what feels right for the day.

Something to look forward to

An activity, outing, conversation, or small project chosen around real interests.

Everyday life, shared

Technology help, planning, movement, errands done together, or a favorite stop.

A thoughtful close

A sense of momentum, and family communication by agreement when it is wanted.

The heart behind the work

Presence is not passive.

My Modern Companion believes that aging is not a chapter to simply get through. It is a season of life that deserves beauty, connection, laughter and purpose. We are a thoughtful non-medical lifestyle support and companionship service for aging adults in Dallas, Texas, built around one simple but powerful belief: no one should have to navigate this chapter alone. Through brain-stimulating activities and joyful physical movement, we help our clients stay sharp, stay active, and hold on to the independence they love. We help aging adults feel less alone, more supported and more connected to life — with warmth, dignity and joy.

Meet Nicole

A simple beginning

Start with a conversation, not a commitment.

A short fit check lets Nicole learn what life looks like now and whether this relationship could be helpful.

1

Share what a good day looks like

Tell us about interests, routines, location, and the kind of support you are hoping for.

2

Talk with Nicole

Have a personal conversation about goals, preferences, safety, and scope.

3

Find a rhythm that feels right

Begin with an introduction, then decide together what ongoing support looks like.

Clear about fit

Not every need calls for the same kind of support.

My Modern Companion is non-medical. When a person needs hands-on personal care, medication management, clinical supervision, continuous monitoring, or substantial lifting help, another provider may be safer.

How it works
What does a companion visit include?

Every visit is shaped around the person. That may mean conversation, a walk, an outing, an activity, technology help, a practical project done together, or time to reconnect with something they enjoy.

Is this home health or medical care?

No. My Modern Companion is a non-medical companionship and lifestyle support service. We do not provide nursing, medication management, hands-on personal care, clinical supervision, or emergency services.

Who is a good fit?

The service is designed for independent older adults who want more connection, activity, encouragement, or help with the everyday parts of life that are better when shared.

Can you visit someone in an independent-living community?

Yes, subject to the community’s policies and the person’s needs. One-to-one companionship can complement a community calendar with more personal attention, shared interests, and outings.

Do you provide transportation?

Transportation arrangements are discussed individually. My Modern Companion does not promise client transportation through this website.

What if my loved one needs more support?

If a person needs hands-on personal care, medication management, clinical support, continuous supervision, or substantial lifting or transfer help, another type of provider may be safer. We will be clear and respectful about fit.
